#8A mon avis c'est que c'est tout simplement pas le même jeux et qu'il faut pas s'attendre à une simulation dans le sens strict du terme mais un jeu immersif cinématographique pour le premier et à un jeu "gestion" d'équipage pour le second, un peu dans la veine du premier par ailleurs qui était plus un jeu de gestion de B-17/escadron qu'une simulation de vol.diditopgun a écrit : ↑mar. oct. 26, 2021 7:43 pmEuuh.... Pure spéculation de ma part mais ça m'étonnerait pas, si vous pensez piloter un B-17 en activant tout les boutons, faire des approches et du vol en formation, vous risquez d'être déçus.
D'un côté on vivra l'enfer d'un membre d'équipage en VR et de l'autre sans VR le commandant de bord, gestion de l'escadron et des équipages dans deux jeux totalement différent.
En fait on serait proche du premier.

Skyrim et skyrim vr ne sont pas compatibles et les sauvegardes ne peuvent pas passer de l'un à l'autre donc ça ne me traumatiserais pas que ça soit pareil ici

#10Bah c'est différent là, Skyrim a été développé sans aucune prévision de la VR au départ. Puis ils ont modifié leur moteur pour accueillir la VR après.
Là je pense que ça sera vraiment deux jeux différents qui n'auront pas le même but tout simplement qui n'auront de commun que la base du moteur.
La thèse du jeu de gestion pour le second me paraît pas idiot car un jeu de gestion et de curseurs en VR, c'est moyen.
Un genre de jeu comme "U-Boat" pour ceux qui connaissent.

**Will the game have a story mode of 25 missions, or will it allow for more freeform gameplay B-17 II title from 2000?**
Both
**What is the scope of operations we will be doing? Will we be able to do night and day raids?**
Yes
**Will the game have coop in some way? How?**
At this stage we are considering adding a co-op mode where each player can control their own B-17 in the formation. More on this later.
**Will there be a squadron commander mode?**
Eventually, yes.
**Will there be a realistic number of bombers in a formation?**
Yes.
**What’s the interaction with the 100th group been like? How do you take their experience and turn it into something in game?**
Having the support of the 100th Foundation has been an amazing experience and a true honor. Working with their historians is incredible, and we have done interviews with 100th Veterans which we will release later, which again is simply amazing to hear them talk about flying these historic missions. We are very careful with the detail of all aspects of the 100th.
**Is the B-24 confirmed to be in the game as well? If so, will we have more than 1 variant of the B-24?**
Yes.
**Will B-17 bomb groups be playable too?**
You will be able to add any bomb group to the game and even custom build and share missions and campaigns.
**Will we be able to walk around the cabin in first person and around the exterior during preflight?**
Yes, including driving around the base, walking around and inside the aircraft etc. The whole experience can be seamless: moving around the base, entering a vehicle and driving, walking around the aircraft, entering and walking inside, with the possibility to skip parts of it.
**Will ground objects have sophisticated damage models and physics?**
Well yes to a certain extent, most objects around target locations will have some destruction mode and more than likely have some type of dynamic destruction on buildings and structures worldwide.
**Will we be able to service our aircraft?**
Yes.
**Do aircraft degrade over time?**
Yes.
**Will there be realistic turret traverse speeds?**
Yes.
**Will the player's aircraft always be the leader bomber or can we fly on other slots?**
You will be able to choose the formation and position.
**Are you working with Maj. John "Lucky" Luckadoo? He could give a killer intro speech to the game.**
Yes, we have interviewed him.
**When the flak fires up will the enemy fighters stop attacking and then re-engage after you get out of the flak?**
Yes.
**What about the Lancaster and Valiant Effort thing? Is it still in development for the game as a DLC?**
It will be, yes.
**Will there be a VR version?**
Yes, VR will be supported since it’s already supported in the Outerra engine, where the instrument and control handling is designed in a way that allows the choice of keyboard/joystick control, interactive control via mouse or using the controllers in VR on any vehicle (or a combination).
**Will mods from OWS be compatible with 100th?**
Some, yes.
**Is the level of simulation of the bombers comparable across all titles? For example: if B-17:ME simulates bubbles forming in the fuel lines at high altitude when the boost pumps are turned off on a B-17, should we also expect to see that in B-17:100th? Or are the simulations entirely different from one title to the next?**
Both the games are very different and will have their own levels of details, the 100th will certainly dive in much deeper.
**Will the game simulate known faults with the aircraft? As a random example, there was a known fault where the top turret of the B17 would rub against an oxygen line as it rotated. This would gradually cause the oxygen line to wear down until an explosion occurred. There were a number of well documented faults like this affecting a variety of different B-17 airframe versions.**
We’ll have to see how deep we go, but we aim to simulate most faults in one way or another.

**Will the title be VR-exclusive?**
At this point yes.
**What VR hardware is planned to be supported by the game?**
At this stage, most of the major brands will be supported.
**Will guns be able to get jammed? Can someone else on the plane unjam the guns along with replenishing ammo for certain guns that use belts?**
Yes.
**Will we be able to do any customization of the B17 propellers? For example, to select the propeller tip colors.**
Not planned at this stage, but all things are possible.
**Can we only share the same aircraft in cooperative mode, or could we have several players spread across several bombers?**
All players will share the same aircraft.
**It's been mentioned that the bombers will be somewhat repairable inflight, beyond simple damage control. To what extent will this be possible? In the specific example given "a hole in the fuselage and the cables were cut". Did the crews have the tools to do these repairs like splicing the cable and restore sufficient tension in this specific instance. Are these mechanics a concession to gameplay or was there actual historical precedent for these kinds of repairs?**
There is a mix and the final list of faults that can be repaired is still wip.
**Will the performance of each part in each plane be randomized to give each specific aircraft a unique feel? Will we need to calibrate our turbos and other settings accordingly before each flight? Will the failure rates also be simulated?**
Too early to say, failure rates will be simulated on many parts and equipment.
**The ammo for each of the .50 cals was stored in boxes and commonly transported from one station to the next as needed. Will this be possible?**
Yes.
**What function will radios, and by extension the radio operator, have given that every other bomber in the formation will be presumably controlled by AI (who tend to make poor conversation)?**
Again still WIP to what can be done.
**How will player injury be handled? Medical supplies on board were limited, and injuries ranged from bullets, to flak, to your suit's heater catching on fire, and most injuries were fatal. How extensive is the first aid system in this title? Or will this be simplified as "health packs'' for gameplay reasons?**
Players and crew can be injured, and other players and crew can render assistance where possible, there will be various levels of injury, some can be treated and other not so lucky, we would like to make this part of the game realistic. Including getting on the ground quickly to get additional help.
**This one is admittedly a bit of a joke, but how will this game handle "fancy flying"? If I invert the plane in flight is everyone in back going to be walking on the ceiling? What if I execute a perfect 1G loop, or a parabolic dive will the gravity be simulated accordingly?**
Too early to say.
**How will bailing out be handled? Will players be able to throw themselves out the nearest opening and pull the ripcord as they fall? What about a catastrophic breakup of the aircraft resulting in the ejection of the crew? Will those lucky enough to be wearing their parachutes be able to safely make it down?**
In the event you need to bail out, you will be able to make your way to the nearest exit point and get out, if you can get to it. We want to make this fairly dramatic, so the player has a real sense they need to leave the aircraft.
**Will we be able to use custom nose art on our bombers? Nose art is one of the most famous aspects of these bombers and goes a long way to personalizing your aircraft. Will we be able to use custom image files as decals on our aircraft? Or perhaps even be able to mod the entire skin of the aircraft to our liking?**
Yes, at this stage.
**Is modding planned for this title, and if so to what extent? Is only basic asset swapping planned or will we be able to script new functionality. Will we be able to implement our own custom bombers, such as the B-25, or variants like the YB-40?**
Yet to be decided to what level, but we are aiming to keep it fairly open.
**Are you open to the idea of adding additional bombers in the future as DLC such as the renowned B-29?**
Yes, very much so.

**Will the title be VR-exclusive?**
At this point yes.
**What VR hardware is planned to be supported by the game?**
At this stage, most of the major brands will be supported.
**Will guns be able to get jammed? Can someone else on the plane unjam the guns along with replenishing ammo for certain guns that use belts?**
Yes.
**Will we be able to do any customization of the B17 propellers? For example, to select the propeller tip colors.**
Not planned at this stage, but all things are possible.
**Can we only share the same aircraft in cooperative mode, or could we have several players spread across several bombers?**
All players will share the same aircraft.
**It's been mentioned that the bombers will be somewhat repairable inflight, beyond simple damage control. To what extent will this be possible? In the specific example given "a hole in the fuselage and the cables were cut". Did the crews have the tools to do these repairs like splicing the cable and restore sufficient tension in this specific instance. Are these mechanics a concession to gameplay or was there actual historical precedent for these kinds of repairs?**
There is a mix and the final list of faults that can be repaired is still wip.
**Will the performance of each part in each plane be randomized to give each specific aircraft a unique feel? Will we need to calibrate our turbos and other settings accordingly before each flight? Will the failure rates also be simulated?**
Too early to say, failure rates will be simulated on many parts and equipment.
**The ammo for each of the .50 cals was stored in boxes and commonly transported from one station to the next as needed. Will this be possible?**
Yes.
**What function will radios, and by extension the radio operator, have given that every other bomber in the formation will be presumably controlled by AI (who tend to make poor conversation)?**
Again still WIP to what can be done.
**How will player injury be handled? Medical supplies on board were limited, and injuries ranged from bullets, to flak, to your suit's heater catching on fire, and most injuries were fatal. How extensive is the first aid system in this title? Or will this be simplified as "health packs'' for gameplay reasons?**
Players and crew can be injured, and other players and crew can render assistance where possible, there will be various levels of injury, some can be treated and other not so lucky, we would like to make this part of the game realistic. Including getting on the ground quickly to get additional help.
**This one is admittedly a bit of a joke, but how will this game handle "fancy flying"? If I invert the plane in flight is everyone in back going to be walking on the ceiling? What if I execute a perfect 1G loop, or a parabolic dive will the gravity be simulated accordingly?**
Too early to say.
**How will bailing out be handled? Will players be able to throw themselves out the nearest opening and pull the ripcord as they fall? What about a catastrophic breakup of the aircraft resulting in the ejection of the crew? Will those lucky enough to be wearing their parachutes be able to safely make it down?**
In the event you need to bail out, you will be able to make your way to the nearest exit point and get out, if you can get to it. We want to make this fairly dramatic, so the player has a real sense they need to leave the aircraft.
**Will we be able to use custom nose art on our bombers? Nose art is one of the most famous aspects of these bombers and goes a long way to personalizing your aircraft. Will we be able to use custom image files as decals on our aircraft? Or perhaps even be able to mod the entire skin of the aircraft to our liking?**
Yes, at this stage.
**Is modding planned for this title, and if so to what extent? Is only basic asset swapping planned or will we be able to script new functionality. Will we be able to implement our own custom bombers, such as the B-25, or variants like the YB-40?**
Yet to be decided to what level, but we are aiming to keep it fairly open.
**Are you open to the idea of adding additional bombers in the future as DLC such as the renowned B-29?**
Yes, very much so.
