Bloody April X – Flying Circus Edition
March 28 – May 2, 2020
February 22, 2020 - For immediate release - please forward this message to your fellow pilots and link this thread in your forums.
Jasta 5/Schusta 27b is proud to present the WWI Flying Circus community with this year's Bloody April Campaign in Flying Circus! The campaign is based on the Arras Offensive of late March and April 1917.
The inaugural Bloody April campaign in 2011 was critically acclaimed as the first world-wide Rise of Flight campaign and since then thousands of flight hours have been logged in what became the RoF communities' premiere world-wide annual multiplayer campaign. Depending on the calendar, the campaign runs each year on Saturdays beginning late March- and going through late April or early May.
Campaign History:
Conceived during the Red Baron 3D days in 2006 by J5_Paul Bäumer and brought to life in Rise of Flight through collaborations with talented Jasta 5 mission builders such as J5_Rumey and J5_Matthias and several talented community members over the years.
Prior Campaign Victories:
2011 - Entente victorious on the last mission of the last day after 12 missions flown over four weekends!
2012 - Tie after over 1,000 flight hours were logged!
2013 - Entente
2014 - Central won in a decisive battle.
2015 - Entente
2016 - Central
2017 - Red Team
2018 - Blue Team
2019 - Indecisive
2020 - ??? Event Moved to Flying Circus
Campaign Developments:
Following in the footsteps of the ground breaking innovative events of previous years, this year's event continues to push the envelope of the currently available planes, features and community mission design in Flying Circus for maximum realism and immersion. The campaign is a objective focused event. While it is historically based, it cannot be a true historical reenactment. It will be immersive but not at the expense of enjoyment while continuing its ground-breaking tradition of mission building realism over The Front!
Overview: each week there will be 2 three-hour missions conducted Saturdays at 1730-2030 GMT and 2030-2330 GMT. Using the Flying Circus Flugpark server, there will be plenty of room for everyone to fly in the premiere inaugural Flying Circus Bloody April event! Draft rules will be posted on this thread! Block out your flying calendars and start checking your equipment and register in the survey above today!
Updated Rules: Will be posted at a later date updated to reflect the Flying Circus environment. We anticipate only minor changes from prior years events.
Official Event Schedule of Events
March 28 - Server Stress Test/Practice Mission – 1730-2330 GMT
March 29-April 3 – Practice Missions on the Flugpark
April 4– Hostilities Commence - Dawn Mission/Afternoon Mission
April 11 – Easter Truce – No Missions
April 18 – Hostilities Continue – Dusk Mission/Dawn Mission
April 25 – Hostilities Continue – Afternoon Mission/Dusk Mission
May 2 – Hostilities Conclude – Dawn Mission/ Afternoon Mission
May 3 - Final Results, Awards and Recognitions
Plane Pipeline: Albatross DVa & Halberstadt CLII vs. Se5a & Bristol II (its all we really have available from the time period) but represents a great match up for both sides!
Please participate in the survey above to register your participation and indicate what team you prefer to fly on. We will make every attempt to accommodate side requests but pilot team assignment preferences cannot be guaranteed. Historical units will fly on the same side assigned to their unit.

#30Désolé, pas plus d'une campagne par semaine (accord avec Mme) et il y a déjà la channel 42...
Horaires = Saturdays at 1730-2030 GMT and 2030-2330 GMT => samedi 18h30-21h30 et 21:30-23h30

Mon mitrailleur fou me manque.
On remet ça Jeudi prochain ?
