VRS is pleased to announce TacPack and F/A-18E Superbug for Prepar3D® Academic!
These are discrete product lines from the FSX versions, with no cross-compatibility. For a limited time, VRS is offering substantial customer loyalty discounts of up to $29.95 for existing FSX customers! Please see below for additional details.
For the last two years, the TacPack has been enjoying the increasing support of third-party developers in their aircraft projects. The most recent addition to the "TacPack-Powered" arsenal of supported aircraft includes the new Aerosoft F-14 Tomcat X, as well as announcements by other quality developers including Milviz and Razbam Sims expressing their intent to support the platform. Combined with the existing support of developers such as Iris Simulations, Dino Cattaneo, Metal2Mesh and others, the TacPack is quickly becomming a formitable and popular military aircraft platform. It is likely that in the near-term, we wil no longer be seeing military aircraft development without at least rudimentary TacPack support. VRS is very pleased to be able to bring our growing platform into the future with new support for Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D Academic*.
Aerosoft TacPack-Powered F-14TacPack for Prepar3D® Academic*
A true single and multi-player tactical combat engine for Prepar3D Academic. With TacPack, weapons no longer need to be benign figments of your imagination; Prepar3D Academic becomes a live battle space with realistically modeled weapons, countermeasures, and early warning systems. Your aircraft can destroy (or cripple) your adversaries, and you yourself can become the prey, taking partial or critical damage.
Superbug for Prepar3D® Academic*
A professional-level, fully combat capable F/A-18E aircraft simulation. The Superbug and TacPack combat system work together to bring dedicated aerial combat and ground attack capability to life for the first time in Prepar3D Academic.
VRS Superbug P3DThe Superbug is a completely TacPack-dependent aircraft which has been integrated at the lowest levels. Consequently, TacPack for P3D Academic is required in order to use (or even purchase) the Superbug for P3D Academic. Customers wishing to purchase the Superbug for P3D Academic must either:
Buy the TacPack and Superbug for P3D Academic simultaneously
Already own the TacPack for P3D Academic, and have logged into the store under the that account (e.g. with your TacPack P3D Academic license ID or the customer ID associated with it).

Current FSX TacPack and/or Superbug customers may take advantage of a loyalty discount of $10 each off the retail P3D pricing of $49.95 and $59.95 respectively. In addition, customers who purchase the TacPack+Superbug for P3D simultaneously will receive an additional bundle discount of $9.95, for a total savings of up to $29.95!
