Dear simmers, ladies and gentlemen,
Here is short changelog of A-10C: OpenBeta 4, I tried to show the main changes. Sorry for some delay - Christmas Our testers, my colleagues and me can answer on your questions.
MISSION EDITOR
- Saving mission does not remove briefing picture. Also corrected saving/deleting of triggered sounds in missions.
- Waypoints altitude AGL now is ajdusted to ground elevation level.
- New (DX) GUI: drop-down lists are aligned correct.
- Added and corrected some aircraft skins.
- Repaired error when selecting Triggered Actions task Orbit
- Pilot callsign now saved in Logbook.
GRAPHICS
- Some tuning of fog
- Neustrashimyi and Zvezdnyi get additional LODs.
- A-10C: Added visualization of internal canopy texture on external view.
- A-10C cockpit: Canopy reflection texture is not seen through seat.
- Shader issue fixed after switching helicopters (F2)
- HDR adjusted
- Too dark mountains at the far distanse are fixed.
AIRFIELDS
- Lights and sighns on taxi- and runways in Vaziani and Beslan are adjusted
- Landing spotlights on airfields light the correct place on runway
- Kutaisi: Taxiway end (to the maintenance aresa) is fixed
- Taxiways on some fields (height of surface) are corrected
- Player can contact tower again after landing to rearm and refuel on homebase.
- Z-fighting of field textures is corrected
AVIONICS AND WEAPONS
- Game crash when delivering CBU-87 or CBU97 is fixed
- Smokegenerators are working now (but some issues with DSMS remain and perhaps smoke colour on cockpit view and external view are incorrect (white), it's known and will be fixed soon)
- Cocpit hints - fixed some mistakes and misprints
- Position of RWR symbols on display is fixed
- Speed changes of aircraft after Sidewinder launch are fixed
- Autostart script and input command for A-10C cold start are added
- SAS switches now can be turned ON and OFF separately (our avionics specialists have studied original docs and decided to do it)
- A-10C cockpit. Main landing gears lights work correctly.
- Crash after dropping MK82\82AIR using changed profile in CCRP mode is fixed.
- Crash on missile fall into water is fixed.
MULTIPLAYER
- Client's engines do not stop after respawning
- MP - key input fixed (some keys didn't work after first run of multiplayer)
- Crash in Multiplayer after SA-11 Buk Search Radar is killed fixed
- Client's weather will change in new MP mission (i.e. client's weather is shown correctly)
PERFORMANCE AND OTHER
- FPS are improved due to code optimization, adding and adjusting of LODs. Work in process.
- Takeoff event now is written in debriefieg log even if the airfield is captured by enemy.
- Triggered sounds in quick start missions are fixed
- Logbook: first mission of campaign is fixed
- ALT-TAB does not cause a crash
- F-15 or C-130 do not prevent ALT-TAB
- Many commands to joystick are added
- Ground position of static Mi-26 is adjusted
- LODs of some ground and air units are added
AI
- AI wingmen are able to get airborne faster than player - some fixes.
- Ka-50 can attack ground targets by cannon
- Fixed self-destruction of Bradley's ATGM
- SAM do not engage now targets outside their WEZ
- HAI and PAI fly correctly on their circular orbits
Some important fixes (in multiplayer, Mission Editor etc. etc. ) are not included in Beta 4 because not yet tested, but we hope you will see them soon.
