"Brief history of the closing of il2skins:
In January 2005, the company responsable for hosting our server, went bankrupt without notice, at the same time having us lose all the data and the backup datas. Secondary backup data were located in another data center, actually where I used to work, which was deleted by another sysadmin because I left one week before the hoster bankrupt incident. So this serie of incidents led to the infamous "closing" of the original il2skins.com when it was at its peak of popularity with over 12,000 skins hosted and millions of downloads. In the year of 2005, 2 failed attemps to restart the site left a lot of users unhappy. We were offered deals for space and bandwidth that were not concluded. This time, We are commited to bring back the site online, with a fresh start."
