Hi guys, we are expanding our art team and as a result two positions have opened up for a senior 3D Modeller and a 3D Modeller. Please review the requirements below:
http://www.velvetelement.net/fojobs/
Position Overview:
- To Develop High Quality 3D Models within the defined specifications, for Fighter Ops Flight Simulator. Two Positions (Snr 3D Modeller and 3D Modeller)
Essential Criteria:
- Proven Experience developing Animated 3D Models (ideally Fast Jet) for Flight Sims. 3D Studio MAX is preferred but by no means definitive. Please Provide References such as URL's or Screenshots of previous work.
- Experience in UV mapping and animation techniques.
- Ability to function and be an active participant within a team, complete tasks by deadlines, and have high level interpersonal skills, that can adapt to a highly distributed development team.
Desirable Criteria:
- Skills in developing Technical Documentation.
- Experience in s/w development (interacting with Code Teams, REALLY, REALLY Desirable: C++ and 3D Code Skills).
- Some manner of Teaching Skills would be advantageous in a team environment that features modelers of various degrees of experience and skills.
- Ability to code in a Win32 4 GL, developing internal Automation Tools and Scripts.
Additional Information:
Candidates should be aware that they may also have to model 'less glamorous items' such as Airbases, Trees and other Ground Units and Objects. On the positive side, this is great opportunity to get in 'on the ground level', be part of CREATING a sim, not just MODDING something that is already out there. And with success of this initial project, the opportunities that could present themselves are virtually boundless.
Candidates will be considered by Art Department Managment Staff and XSI Executive Personnel after addressing each of the Essential Criteria in their application. Candidates may also later be required to sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), as part of the interview process.
Applications and Queries can be sent to zaggy@fighterops.com . Closing date for applications is 1st September 2005
All Applications submitted and any information within, will be treated with the upmost concerns for privacy and WILL NOT be forwarded, shown, exchanged or otherwise disclosed to any party outside of XSI and FighterOps. Applications and Resume's will be kept on file for a period of six (6) months.
