The aircraft – listed on the French register as F-AZXR – was piloted by Bruno Ducreux from Dijon-Darois airfield in Burgundy to Elmsett in Suffolk, home of specialist company Hawker Restorations. The 1939-built fighter was acquired in 2013 by the Monégasque collector Jan Friso Roozen from Sir Tim Wallis’ New Zealand-based Alpine Fighter Collection.
