Boeing va moderniser les quatre AWACS français de l'escadron Berry basé sur la BA 702 d'Avord (photo Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace). Il s'agit d'une nouvelle "modernisation à mi-vie" selon un avis d'attribution de vendredi dernier dont la valeur est de 37,5 millions de dollars. Ces appareils doivent rester opérationnels au moins jusqu'en 2035.
Voici l'avis d'attribution de ce marché qui court jusqu'en juillet 2027:
"The Boeing Co., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a program ceiling of $37,500,000 for sustainment and engineering services and support for recurring and non-recurring activities relating to the E-3F Airborne Warning and Control System French Republic mid-life upgrade modification. Work will be performed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and is expected to be completed by July 16, 2027. This contract supports Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the French Republic. This award is the result of a sole source acquisition. FMS French Republic case funds in the amount of $1,522,705 are obligated at the time of award for the first task order. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity (FA8102-22-D-0002).
