parce que les E-8 sont opérés par l'usaf et non par l'us army
Je me demande si il n'y a pas une législation qui interdit à l'us army d'utiliser
certaines catégories d'avions à aile fixe

avant de les vendre aux usa mais que l'utilisateur est effectivement l'us army
En fait les avions allaient être envoyés à la casse si Raytheon us n'avait pas fait une offre

This confirmation comes after reports from the UK Defence Journal on November 17, stating that the MOD accepted a joint bid from Raytheon USA/Bombardier to make the aircraft airworthy again, then flown over to the US and to be delivered to the current rumoured end customer, the US Army.

It is known that the Sentinel R1 fleet had already been stripped of its hardware in preparation for scrapping, but apparently work has begun to make them airworthy again to make them capable of crossing the Atlantic and into the US.
