Hello,
there are lots of mistakes in this article :
"European arsenals of laser-guided bombs, the NATO weapon of choice in the Libyan campaign, have been quickly depleted, officials said."
I don't know who told you that the laser-guided bombs were "quickly delepted", but that's totally false :
Indeed, since 2000, French armies bought many AASM munitions (2 348). It is a modern Laser Guided Bomb. So you can understand that there are still many of those bombs in stock, despite the war in Libya and Afghanistan !
At least 12 Scalp EG (a stealth cruise missile) were launched since the beginning of this war, but 500 of those missiles were bought, so the stock is still important !
"Although the United States has significant stockpiles, its munitions do not fit on the British- and French-made planes that have flown the bulk of the missions." : That's totally false : French and English Fighter Jets can carry US munitions. For example, some GBU-12, GBU-24 and GBU-49 were used in this war (by the French fighters), and those are US-munitions, carried by your fighters. So it's just a lie when you say that our fighters cannot carry US bombs.
The proof in pictures :

Moreover, I must add that some European air forces use US-planes like the F-16, so don't tell me that they cannot use US-made munitions...
So please, when you write an article, check what you are saying...This article is built on lies...
Another article, in the French press, is speaking about your article, and they establish the truth :

You are totally discredited in Europe with this article...
Worldwide, you appears to be a "noob's papper" with this article, so in your interest you should modify your article :
1/ No, there are still many munitions, I don't know who told you the contrary. You can check how many munitions where bought if you want ;
2/ Yes, we can also carry US-made laser-guided bombs. (GBU-12, 24 and 49).
That's up to you now,
have a good day
Greg
