**Will the game have a story mode of 25 missions, or will it allow for more freeform gameplay B-17 II title from 2000?**
Both
**What is the scope of operations we will be doing? Will we be able to do night and day raids?**
Yes
**Will the game have coop in some way? How?**
At this stage we are considering adding a co-op mode where each player can control their own B-17 in the formation. More on this later.
**Will there be a squadron commander mode?**
Eventually, yes.
**Will there be a realistic number of bombers in a formation?**
Yes.
**What’s the interaction with the 100th group been like? How do you take their experience and turn it into something in game?**
Having the support of the 100th Foundation has been an amazing experience and a true honor. Working with their historians is incredible, and we have done interviews with 100th Veterans which we will release later, which again is simply amazing to hear them talk about flying these historic missions. We are very careful with the detail of all aspects of the 100th.
**Is the B-24 confirmed to be in the game as well? If so, will we have more than 1 variant of the B-24?**
Yes.
**Will B-17 bomb groups be playable too?**
You will be able to add any bomb group to the game and even custom build and share missions and campaigns.
**Will we be able to walk around the cabin in first person and around the exterior during preflight?**
Yes, including driving around the base, walking around and inside the aircraft etc. The whole experience can be seamless: moving around the base, entering a vehicle and driving, walking around the aircraft, entering and walking inside, with the possibility to skip parts of it.
**Will ground objects have sophisticated damage models and physics?**
Well yes to a certain extent, most objects around target locations will have some destruction mode and more than likely have some type of dynamic destruction on buildings and structures worldwide.
**Will we be able to service our aircraft?**
Yes.
**Do aircraft degrade over time?**
Yes.
**Will there be realistic turret traverse speeds?**
Yes.
**Will the player's aircraft always be the leader bomber or can we fly on other slots?**
You will be able to choose the formation and position.
**Are you working with Maj. John "Lucky" Luckadoo? He could give a killer intro speech to the game.**
Yes, we have interviewed him.
**When the flak fires up will the enemy fighters stop attacking and then re-engage after you get out of the flak?**
Yes.
**What about the Lancaster and Valiant Effort thing? Is it still in development for the game as a DLC?**
It will be, yes.
**Will there be a VR version?**
Yes, VR will be supported since it’s already supported in the Outerra engine, where the instrument and control handling is designed in a way that allows the choice of keyboard/joystick control, interactive control via mouse or using the controllers in VR on any vehicle (or a combination).
**Will mods from OWS be compatible with 100th?**
Some, yes.
**Is the level of simulation of the bombers comparable across all titles? For example: if B-17:ME simulates bubbles forming in the fuel lines at high altitude when the boost pumps are turned off on a B-17, should we also expect to see that in B-17:100th? Or are the simulations entirely different from one title to the next?**
Both the games are very different and will have their own levels of details, the 100th will certainly dive in much deeper.
**Will the game simulate known faults with the aircraft? As a random example, there was a known fault where the top turret of the B17 would rub against an oxygen line as it rotated. This would gradually cause the oxygen line to wear down until an explosion occurred. There were a number of well documented faults like this affecting a variety of different B-17 airframe versions.**
We’ll have to see how deep we go, but we aim to simulate most faults in one way or another.
**Will the game support modding in general?**
Yes.
**Are we able to fly the fighters and escort fighters?**
Yes.
