This has got to be the sweetest sight I have seen all year !!!
After 1 and a half week (5 re-installs) I have finally gotten all the fixes and patches to work together.
What I think MOST people are missing out on is tha fact that after BMS is RUN..... and F4 patch comes up.. it has FalconSP.exe as the default executable.
THIS MUST BE CHANGED to F4-BMS.exe and it doesnt hurt to re-name the falcon.cfg file either. This seems to have been missed out on the install guide posted on some of the threads.
Once this was done ... everything went smoothly... no jittering, no stutter... very very smooth game play with stunning graphics from Tom HiTiles...hitiles.tk
Great JOB guys..... need an online team to join as soon as the SP4 and the thread settles down.
For reference my format was:
1. Uninstall Falcon
2. delete registry keys
3. delete falcon directory
4. delete C:\windows\temp\*.*
5. reboot
7. re-install falcon 4.0
8. Reboot
9. Install 1.08
10. Reboot
11. Install SP4 (do NOT expand Pathes)
12. Install Ratty's Fix for SP 4 (Sp4_Unofficial_HotFixv1.1_.zip)
13. Installed Tom's HiTiles http://www.hitiles.tk (oops) + AMAXSoundFiles.zip
14. Panther's Cockpit
15. HudFonts
16. skyfix_by_deuky_final
17. TacRefupdSp4
18. Rename falcon.cfg
19. Rename FalconSp.exe
20. Install BMS 1.03
21. When the Patch program starts: point executable to F4-BMS.exe
22. Followed the addityional points per: SP4 & BMS-The Total Install and
Settings Guide Supplement
23. Started Falcon 4 created name and made required changes as per:
SP4 & BMS-The Total Install and Settings Guide Supplement
24. Made changes to f4-bms.cfg as per: SP4 & BMS-The Total Install and
Settings Guide Supplement
25. FINALLY Ran : Rattys_missileFix _BMSdatav1.61.zip
. Switched her on and :
1. No stutter what so-ever (had tons of it before !)
2. Very smooth flight
3. Stunning Graphics

d'ailleurs...je suis le premier à dire t'attendre une sortie officielle du BMS (SP4) pour s'éclater avec les Data et les Graphismes.
Moi je reste en SP3-BMS-FF2.1 épprouvée par rapport aux SP4 modifié.
ça peut faire un excelent jeux-SOLO, mais pour le On-Line, je préfère ne pas jouer au apprenti-sorcier !!!

Ce qui m'interpelle, parce que j'ai passé mes 20 derniers heures falcon a faire des

et que je l'avais noté ( parce que je me disais : "mais ou ais je encore merdé ?" )c'est qu'effectivement le config editor de bms semble pointer vers falconSP.exe...
Aprés est ce que le bms.exe ne fait que charger le falconbms.cfg et lance ensuite le falconSP.exe ?
qui le sait ? (...est ce quelqu'un le sait ? :D )

F4Patch in the BMS installation only changes variables in the falconbms.cfg and this is independent of the exe it is pointing to. Only the location of the exe, the folder, is important, it must be the right one. In the RPG days the exe was hex-edited by F4Patch and therefore it was important to have it pointed to the correct one. Today, this is not the case.Originally posted by Jallie@Mar 31 2004, 11:40 AM

Furthermore, the BMS exe simply ignores the falconsp.cfg file, it only works with the falconbms.cfg.

Cela semble tellement VRAI, qu'un rappel de BenBen est le bienvenu.
Autant avec l'install du cockpit Aeyes, il est bien mantionné de faire pointer sur le falconsp.exe avant de lancer le cockpit paramêtrage.
Autant Benben nous fait bien remarquer , qu'il suffit d'être DANS le bon repertoire pour que le ficgier falconbms.cfg soit mis à jour avec le F4patch.
